​The mission of the church of Christ meeting at 47th Street is to proclaim the gospel of Christ with the same compassion and openness that Jesus displayed towards all humanity. It is our sincere desire to worship and serve God in the way that he directed us through his Son. We believe that message was delivered by the Holy Spirit and is preserved in the New Testament of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We strive to be more Christ like and only hope that the hearts of all mankind will come know God and want to be in fellowship with Him.

Who We Are

The 47t Street church of Christ is a congregation of God's children in Wichita, Kansas, redeemed by Him through obedient faith in Jesus His Christ, which welcomes visitors and provides the opportunity for all to worship and serve the Holy Father. It is our desire that everyone grow in their love of God and for one another in the way that Jesus taught us. We are rooted in the truth of the Bible and believe that worship can be expressed in our lives by everything that we do. We are continually trying to become more like Jesus not just in the things we say, but in the way that we live No matter who you are, we offer the chance for everyone to do the same.

We encourage you to learn about us on this web site or come worship in person with us on Sunday, at 9:30 am. The arms of Jesus are open to all and He refuses none who seek to come to God and be pleasing to Him. He calls to the one who is thirsty to come; let the one who wishes drink of the water of life without cost, come. Come with us; it is our earnest desire to continually draw closer to Jesus through Bible studies after services on Sunday mornings and after devotionals, Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm. Like Jesus, we welcome young people to be a part of our vibrant youth group. There are also Bible classes available on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm or we would be happy to open the Bible with you in private.
